For more than a decade, I was the steady one behind the scenes – the person who stayed calm, anticipated the problems before they surfaced, and kept everything moving even when the weight was heavy. I got very good at holding things together for others.
In 2025, nothing exploded or changed overnight for me. What changed was quieter and more personal (but somehow still hit me like a truck.) I realised I was waiting for permission to build something that already felt true to me and I’d been waiting too long.
So I stopped waiting & I chose to create work that was more honest, more aligned with my ethics and passions, and to lead intentionally with kindness first.
A Burden Shared exists because “coping” isn’t the same as thriving, and a lot of founders are quietly doing the former while being praised for the latter.
They’re capable.
They’re respected.
They’re also exhausted. Majorly exhausted.
I’ve watched what happens when founders try to carry everything alone.
I’ve also seen how much lighter it feels when someone competent is sharing the load.
That’s the work I want to keep doing in 2026.
💜 Offer more support for people who no longer want to “push through.”
💜 Create more spaces that feel human, rather than transactional.
💜 Offer more clarity. Less chaos.
And always, always, offer more kindness.
If you’re reading this and quietly thinking “this feels familiar” – that’s usually the moment it’s worth talking it through. No pitch. No pressure. Just a conversation. Drop me a message.
You don’t have to carry everything on your own. 💜
